Samuel Washington was one of three brothers who moved to Middle TN following the Civil War. He served as a Confederate Soldier, a Private in the 12th TN Cavalry. (Day's Cavalry) Company
B. For a time Day's Cavalry served with Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest's Regiment. He and his wife lived for a time in Franklin, TN with his brother Daniel and his wife. They soon moved to Nashville, Davidson County, TN. The family history says he was a carpenter and build many local homes.
