Bruce E. Gray, 47, formerly of Milton, died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 26, in his home at 19740 Bel Aire Dr., Miami, Fla., after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born Jan. 26, 1925 in Milton Jct., the son of Earl and Eva McCulloch Gray. He attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of Milton Union High School.
A World War II veteran, he served in the U. S. Navy for three years aboard the aircraft carrier Hornet.
He was married to Enid Green on Jan. 4, 1947 in the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church by Rev. Elmo Randolph.
Prior to moving to Florida, he had been employed by Highway Trailer, Edgerton, and General Motors, Janesville. At the time of his death, he was general manager of Larco Fishing Tackle Mfg. Co.
Surviving are his wife, Enid; two sons, Richard, serving with the U. S. Air Force in Iceland and Mark, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Becky) Filer, Miami; five grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Earl Gray, in extensive care at Edgerton Hospital; two brothers, Kay and David, both of Milton Junction. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 1 at 2 p.m. in the Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Hwy., Miami, Fla., with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Miami.
