Farewell Party; September 7, 1918 Mariposa Gazette
LARGE CROWD BIDS FAREWELL TO DEPARTING SOLDIERS
A large crowd gathered in Liberty Hall Wednesday evening for the purpose of bidding farewell to the young men leaving the following day for Camp Kearny. An address by Prof. L. A. OFFIELD, singing by John CASTAGNETTO and a social dance composed the evenings entertainment. George H. GARBER was placed in charge of the men with Floyd CASACCIA of Coulterville as assistant. Those leaving Mariposa were:
