Hannah and Joshua lived in Westerly where he was pastor of the Westerly (now First Hopkinton) Seventh Day Baptist Church. She and her husband are both in the Ministers Circle at the Hopkington Church.

He was the fifth pastor of the Westerly Sabbatarian Church serving from 1773 to 1793. He followed Rev. Thomas Hiscox and was succeeded by Rev. John Burdick. Three hundred and ninety-five were added to the church under his ministry.

He was a member of the Legislature and a Trustee of Brown University.

He took part in the Colonial and Revolutionary Wars. Vet #124809.

Will dated 31 Jul 1792 and proved at Hopkinton 1 Apr 1793.
