Notes for Martha “Patty” (Spouse 1)
"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 24, No 47, p 187, Nov. 19, 1868.
In Freeborn, Minn., April 26th, 1868, Mrs. Martha Crandall, wife of Isaiah Crandall, in the 75th year of her age.
The death of this sister deserves more than a passing notice. The years of her active life were almost wholly spent in Alfred, N. Y., where she left the savor of a good name. She early made profession of religion, and for many years was a faithful member of the First Seventh-day Baptist Church of Alfred. A few years since, she with her husband emigrated to Wisconsin, wither some of their children had gone, and from thence they went to Minnesota, where she ended her earthly labors and entered upon her heavenly rest.
There having been no funeral sermon preached upon the occasion of her death, by request of her husband, the writer performed that service in the meeting-house of the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Trenton, Minn., Sept. 28th, 1868. N. V. Hull
