Dominic A. Cifulleli, 73, of Erie, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Hamot Medical Center's Select Specialty Hospital.
He was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Erie, son of the late Dominick A. and Lillian Gati Cifolelli. He lived in California for 35 years, then returned to Erie in 1991.
He worked for the Orange County (Calif.) Transit District, retiring after 12 years. He also owned an auto parts store and was involved in the industrial catering industry in California.
He graduated from Tech Memorial High School and received his degree from Erie Business College.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He attended First Assembly of God and enjoyed studying American history, politics, the news, traveling, reading and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Yolanda Clark; and a brother, Joseph Cifolelli.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judith T. Lutz Cifulleli; a daughter, Pamela Jean "P.J." Cifulleli of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; a son James A. Cifulleli of East Springfield; three sisters, Mary Soliwoda and her husband, Walter, and Margaret Jones and her husband, Arden, all of Erie, and Annamae English and her husband, William, of Providence, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may attend a service today at 11 a.m. at Dusckas Funeral Home East, 2607 Buffalo Road. The Rev. Terry Bryant of First Assembly of God will officiate.
Burial will be at Lowville Cemetery.
