Jeffrey J. Fitchette, 31, of 257 Crown St., Meriden, Conn., died Friday at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Conn. He had been ill with pneumonia.
Mr. Fitchette had been a resident of Meriden for the past three years. He was employed by Gerber Optical, Vernon, Conn.
Born Oct. 27, 1964, in Watertown, son of Patricia Dano Martin and Gary Fitchette, he was a graduate of Indian River Central School, Philadelphia, and had served for a time in the Army.
Surviving besides his parents are his stepmother, Rosemary Hamilton, Theresa; his stepfather, Greg Martin, Dexter; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Dano, Deferiet; his paternal grandmother, Helen Fitchette, LaFargeville; a sister, Tammy Fitchette, Dexter; a brother, Scott Fitchette, Boca Raton, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Jerrold Hamilton, Watertown, and Charles Hamilton, Theresa, and three stepsisters, Patricia Ramey, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Sandra Hamilton and Tina Hamilton, both of Theresa.
The funeral will be at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, Meriden, followed by a 1 p.m. service in St. Stanislaus Church, Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
