'The Milton Journal', Milton, Wisconsin, Thursday, May 21, 1903, p 1.
A dispatch to T. A. Saunders last Thursday announced the death of his mother, Mrs. Naomi Randolph Saunders at Hammond, La. She was in usual health when she retired at night but about 3 o'clock a sleeper in an adjoining room heard Mrs. Saunders. She went to her at once and found the old lady dying.
The funeral occurred May 15 conducted by Pastor C. S. Sayre. Mrs. Saunders was 80 years old.
She survived her husband about 10 years. To them were born six children, five of whom are yet living: T. A. Saunders and Mrs. E. H. Pullan of Milton, Frank of Hammond, La., and Ed and Will who reside in Northern Minnesota.
Mrs. Saunders was known and loved by many in Milton where she has frequently visited. She was a sister-in-law of Aunt Katherine Reynolds and had a number of relatives here.

"The Seventh Day Baptist General Conference Yearbook", 1893, p 57.
Deacon William Saunders was born in Berlin, N. Y., where he spent his early life. At the age of 16 years he made a profession of faith in Christ in baptism administered by Eld. Wm. Satterlee. At the age of 23 he was married to Miss Naomi Randolph, of the same place. In 1856 they moved west and settled in West Hallock, uniting with our church. In 1882 they united with the Farina church, remaining till 1888, when they moved south, and joined the little church at Hewitt Springs, Miss., of which he was a consistent and worthy member at the time of his death. He died suddenly of heart disease, March 26, 1893, and passed to the home of the good in his 74th year, leaving a wife, six children, and numerous kindred and friends to mourn their loss, but in hope.
