Deaths - In Almond, N. Y., March 23, Lois Saunders, relic of Christopher Saunders, in the eight-eighth year of her age. She was a member of the 1st Seventh-day Baptist Church of Alfred, and died in the full confidence of a blessed immortality. N VH.

He was referred to as "Senator" in the Bible Records.
MINARD: "History of Allegany Co., NY" (1896) -- mentions that Christopher SAUNDERS came here [Almond, NY] about 1814 and died "not long after". Some members of this family returned to Rhode Island.
NOTE: N.B. VARS in his notes has some of the many Christopher SAUNDERS confused with each other ...
