Will 1828

GA Oglethorpe Co. I Seth Stubblefield being weak in body but in sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofor by me made.
Item 1st I give to my beloved wife Mary Stubblefield the tract of land whereon I now live together with all my stocks House Lots and kitchen furniture with exception of the Stock hereafter mentioned also exception in my household furniture to her forever.
Item 2nd I give to my three daughters all that tract of land that is to say Hannah stubblefield, Liddy Woodall, and Keziah Stubblefield the tract of land mentioned in this ______ of ____ville is known by lot number 206 lying in the 5th district of Houston Co. drawn by myself to be equally divided between them the three mentioned above.
Item 3rd I give to my daughter Hannah Stubblefield this ______ and two beds and all the furniture claimed by her also I give my daughter Keziah Stubblefield two ______ two beds and all the furniture claimed by her.
Item 4th I give to my other six children Joel Stubblefield, Calvin Stubblefield, Ann Stubblefield formerly now Ann Colwell, Patsy Stubblefield formerly now Patsy Thrash [likely Thrasher whose family was related to Theodorick by marriage] also my daughter Mary Stubblefield formerly now Mary Rogers also my daughter Elizabeth Stubblefield formerly Elizabeth Taylor all that tract or lot of land known by lot number 175 lying in the fifteenth district of Houston drawn by myself to be sold and the money equally divided betwen my children above mentioned this much and no more .
Item 5th and lastly I appoint my son Colvin Stubblefield Executor to this my will. Seth (X) Stubblefield. {seal}

Ordinarys Office Nov term 1828. Personally came into open Court Robert Haynes, Randol Jone, Lukey Jones, the subscribing witnesses to the within will who being duly sworn deposeth and saith that they saw the within named Seth Stubblefield deceased sign seal and testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind and memory to the best of our knowledge and belief so help us God. Recorded 8th November 1828 Ro Haynes, Randol Jones, Sukey Jone his mark. Isaac Harderman. J.O. co. [Sukey is probably Lukey].

Nov. 26th the same plats from under the hands of Richardson Hunt, Esquire, bearing the dates of Dec. 4th 1798 and 4th March 1799; land bounded by James Watkins, William Haley and William Cunningham. Wit. Samuel Wakins, J.P. and Benjamin Smith. Rec. Jan. 3, 1804. [Deed recorded in the Office of the Superior Court, Elbert Co. Ga., Bk. C, p. 6-7. Note Joseph Sale married a Nancy Stubblefield.
