Issue: January 1, 1892
Yesterday John Coleman and Oscar Rodden went to Cheny to purchase a yoke of cattle. They drove C. Blanchards buggy horse and cart. John claims it was Oc's donorous voice that frightened the horse, while Oc claims it was the cars, anyway the boys were oblidged to foot it back to Roscommon.

Some 80 ring neck pheasants from the state game farm at Mason were turned loose in this locality last week by Game Warden Babbitt, White and Rodden, 22 of these birds were turned loose in the vicinity of Houghton Lake village, 18 near Roddens farm in South Branch Twp. and 30 on Heidemans farm in Lyon Twp.
