He and his wife belonged to the Hopkinton, RI church. According to the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, there is no proof that Eleazor was the son of Joseph Truman of New London, not withstanding that his birth, marriage and the birth of his children are recorded in the Barbour Index. Neither he nor his children are provided for in the will and division of the estate of Joseph Truman of New London. Additional primary source documentation must be found before a claim is accepted for membership in the Mayflower Society.
