Esther Gordon
Esther Lucy Gordon, 80, a resident of Mariposa for 38 years died July 27 at home in Mariposa.. She was born April 25, 1902 in Decantur, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband Julias "Doc" Gordon; a son Frank Brown; two daughters, Wilma Jean Allen and Eileen Vogt all of Mariposa; a sister Betty McMaster of Tucson Arizona; a brother Roy Askins of Grants Pass, Oregon; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday July 31, in the Mariposa Funeral Chapel. Reverends Lawrence Oliver and Leonard Wilkinson of the Assembly of God Church officiated.
Interment followed in the Mariposa Cemetery.
