Died at age 45, former Exeter man, at home in Winton, Merced Co. Native of Illinois and lived in Exeter 16 years. Engaged in farming. From news article: 1928 "Legion Scandal Stories"
"Ernest Flansburg, that Winton grape-juice rascal, was a sailor, just like that other double-durned Dade Osborne. Both these fellows, when in the navy, looked good in their "sailor suits." Looked so good they actually got married. But look at 'em now. Shades of Paul Jones. They sprout whiskers like a Bolshevik, smoke corncob pipes, change socks only once a month, and bathe only once a year (then whether they need it or not.)"

Ernest Chester FLANSBURG-1092 son of Edwin Searles FLANSBURG-952 and Mary Elizabeth COALE was b. 18 Jun 1893 in Ellsworth, McClean Co., IL.
