In Milton, Wis., April 23d, of erysipelas, Widow Amy W. Babcock, in the fifty-third year of her age. Sister Babcock had been for years suffering very much from scrofulous consumption. She bore her sufferings with Christian fortitude, with the strongest assurance that "it would all turn out for the good." She was an example of meekness and Christian submission. She embraced religion in early life, and was one of the members of the Sabbath-keeping Church in Scott, where she remained a worthy member for some years. Thence she moved to Alfred, N. Y., and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of that place, remained there two years, thence she came to this place, and unlike too many others, she united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Milton, and won the confidence and friendship of numerous friends. From this she was gone, we doubt not, to the church triumphant. V. H.
