Carl B. Gray, 82, lifelong resident of this area, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at his home here, following an illness of several months.
The son of Chauncey D. and Elmira M. Gray, he was born Dec. 29, 1877. On Oct. 30, 1901 he married AnnaBelle Vincent, who preceded him in death Aug. 1, 1940. After working several years in the West lumber yard at Milton Junction he took up farming, in which occupation he continued until his retirement in 1941. On Oct. 22, 1942 he married Zalia Wells.
Mr. Gray was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, having been baptized at an early age in the old Rock River Church.
He is survived by his wife Zalia; three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Hartman of Milton Junction; Mrs. Lillian Campbell and Mrs. Joseph Rabiola of Janesville; one son, Donald V., Milton; one sister, Mrs. J. E. McWilliam, Milton; one brother, Winfred, Milton Junction; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A sister Lottie and a brother Fred preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Rev. J. F. Randolph officiating. Burial was in the Milton Junction cemetery.

Milton Junction - Mrs. Carl Gray, 58, died at 1 p.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital where she had been taken on Saturday morning in a critical condition from which she did not rally. She had been in failing health for the past few years.
Annabelle Vincent, was born October 25, 1882, on a farm near Milton Junction, the daughter of Joseph G. and Artilda Garlock Vincent. She grew to womanhood there and attended the Rock River School.
She was married to Carl B. Gray in the town of Johnstown Oct. 30, 1901, and they came to Milton Junction where they lived for several years, later residing on farms near the village.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Donald Gray, Milton Junction; three daughters, Mrs. Leora Ferguson, Milton, Mrs. Lillian Campbell, Milton Junction, and Mrs. Evelyn Rabiola, Janesville; seven grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Joseph Vincent, New Auburn; and four brothers, Floyd V. Vincent, Milton Junction, Charles Vincent, Minneapolis, and Lawrence and Ezra Vincent, Chippewa Falls. Her father and a sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gray became a member of the old Rock River Seventh Day Baptist church in her girlhood, and after her marriage transferred her membership to the Milton Junction church, of which she was a faithful member and ardent worker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist church. Burial will be in the Milton Junction cemetery. Friends may call at the Crandall funeral home, Milton, Saturday afternoon and evening.

Mrs. Carl Gray, 81, a Milton resident since 1926, died April 28 in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, following a brief illness.
Funeral services were to be held today, Thursday, April 30, at 3 p.m. from the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, Rev. Earl Cruzan officiating. Burial was to be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Dodge Center, Minn.
The former Zaila Babcock was born Aug. 22, 1888 in Dodge Center, Minn., the older daughter of R. H. and Jennie Langworthy Babcock. She was married to K. Robert Wells, Nov. 17, 1907. He died April 28, 1921. She was married in 1942 to Carl Gray, who also preceded her in death in 1959. She was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
Surviving her are a son, Loyal B. Wells of Cedarburg; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Lucille) Sunby, Milton, and Mrs. Richard (Roberta) Wells of Spencer, N. Y. Other survivors include six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one niece, four step-children and several cousins.
