Elma R. Gray, 75, of 620 E. St. Mary's St., died Saturday, March 15, 1997, at Edgerton Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 13, 1921, in English, Ind., the daughter of Freedly and Zephra (Powell) Cunningham. She was married to Walter Gray on June 21, 1941. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Milton and its Tuesday morning support group. She lived in Milton, then moved to Edgerton for many years, and three years ago moved back to Milton.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Gray of Stoughton; a special friend, Scott Davis and family; two brothers, Bob (Donna) of Globe, Ariz., Freedly (Shirley)of Kent, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Ena Cunningham of Florence, Ariz.; nieces, nephews and aunts. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; her parents; and a brother Gilbert Cunningham.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at the Albrecht Funeral Home. Burial was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in her name.

Walter Gray, 74, 307 South St., Edgerton, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1993, at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born Nov. 5, 1919 in Milton, the son of Fred and Jessie (Fox) Gray. He graduated from Milton High School and served in the Army during World War II. He married Elma Cunningham on June 21, 1941. He worked at Highway Trailer in Edgerton. He also farmed, and then worked for Frank Brothers. He attended the Methodist Church and belonged to the Operators Engineer Union.
He is survived by his wife, Elma; one daughter, Helen Gray of Stoughton; one brother, Mert (Elizabeth) Gray of Milton; one sister, Genevieve Hesselman of Janesville; and a special friend, Scott Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elanore; and four brothers: Charles, Elwood, Clarence and Marion.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Albrecht Funeral Home in Edgerton. Rev. Eric Norlan officiated. Burial was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. A memorial has been established in his name.
