Frances Ellen (Babcock) Sholtz 1901-1991

Frances Sholtz, age 89, of 1700 S. River Rd., formerly of Milton, died Monday, July 22, 1991, at Cedar Crest in Janesville.
She was born October 3, 1901, in Walworth, Wis., the daughter of Neely and Grace (Polan) Babcock. She graduated from Milton College in 1927 and married Raymond Sholtz, August 24, 1927, in Battle Creek, Mich. She worked for the Life Insurance Co., Davenport, Iowa. They moved to Milton in 1968. She was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church and the Women's Circle.
Mrs. Sholtz is survived by one son, Paul (Katherine) of Cupertino, Calif., one daughter, Marilyn (Vincent) Shuler of Kenosha, Wis., one brother, Howard Babcock of Battle Creek, Mich., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 15, 1991, two brothers, Willis and Kenneth, three sisters, Ruth Babcock, Ethel Aurand and Alberta Hulett, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Milton. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton, is handling the arrangements.

Raymond H. Sholtz, 90, of 1700 S. River Rd., Janesville and formerly of Milton, died at Mercy Hospital on Friday, March 15, 1991.
He was born August 15, 1900 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Effie (Davis) Sholtz. He married Frances B. Babcock on August 24, 1927, in Battle Creek, Mich. They lived in Davenport, Iowa, where he worked for the Rock Island Arsenal Company. They moved to Milton in 1968 and he was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church where he was a deacon. and he was a former member of Kiwanis.
Mr. Sholtz is survived by his wife, Frances; one son, Paul (Katherine) of Cupertino, Calif.; one daughter, Marilyn (Vincent) Schuler of Kenosha; one brother, Floyd of Verona, N.Y.; one sister, Ruth Davis of Verona, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Funeral services were Monday, March 18 at Seventh Day Baptist Church in Milton. Entombment was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Albrecht Funeral Home of Milton assisted the family.
