A memorial service for Ralph W. Burdick, Edgerton, who died March 7, in Marathon, Florida, will be held Sunday, May 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
Ralph Watson Burdick was born Sept. 25, 1912, the son of Harvey and Beula Burdick in McGregor, Iowa. For many years, Mr. Burdick has lived on a farm near Cooksville, where he, at one time, raised prized gladioli. He was active in Glad Societies in the area, holding office and judging some shows.
In retirement he pursued his hobby of wood carving and sold intricately carved wooden birds at juried art shows in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida, where he made his home in the winter.
Mr. Burdick is survived by his wife; two daughters, Rita Burdick, Burlington and Gail (William) Leider, Sylvan Lake, Ill.; one son, Michael Burdick, Janesville; four grandchildren; one brother, Dr. H. Laurence Burdick, Milton; nieces and nephews.
