Charles Francis Place 1885-1951

Mr. and Mrs. George R. Boss, Milton, have received word of the death of their son-in-law, Charles F. Place, 67, Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Zephyrhills. Fla., following a heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Place had spent a few days in Milton two weeks previously en route from their home in Francestown, N. H., to Florida where they had planned to spend the winter.
Mr. Place was born April 11, 1884, in Milton, where his father, Prof. Francis Place, was a teacher in Milton college. He was married to Lela A. Boss, June 1, 1924, and they lived in Tennessee, North Carolina and Washington, D. C., where Mr. Place's work as an engineer took him. Since he retired three years ago, they had lived in Francestown.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters Mrs. W. W. Ellis, Buchanan, Mich., and Mrs. Thomas B. Place, Anchorage, Alaska; twp granddaughters; two sisters, Olive and Alice Place, and three brothers, Dr. Edwin H. Place, Dr, Phillip W. Place and Albert W. Place. A brother, Mark Place, preceded him in death.
