Harry A. Gray, 71, of 318 Kellogg, died in Rock County Health Care Center Tuesday.
Born March 11, 1909, in Milton Junction, he married Harriett Brooks on Nov. 13, 1946. A Janesville resident for more that 50 years, he was employed at General Motors Assembly Division for more than 43 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and UAW Local No. 95.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Robert of Janesville, Gerald of Milton and Alan of Rockford, Ill,; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Van Galder of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard of Stoughton; and two sisters, Adelaide Sanford of Leamington, Ontario, Canada, and Josephine of Janesville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Overton Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.

Harriett E. Gray, age 85, of 318 Kellogg Ave., died Wed., Aug. 31, 1994, at Mercy Hospital. Harriett was born at Burnett, WI, on Aug. 13, 1909, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Thomas) Brooks. She graduated from Evansville High School in 1927. Harriett was united in marriage on Nov. 15, 1946, at Evansville, to Harry A. Gray, who preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1980. She was employed as a telephone operator by Wisconsin Telephone Co. for 18 years and prior to her retirement was employed by J.C. Penney. Mrs. Gray was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Alan (Marybeth) Gray of Rockford, IL; 2 stepsons, Robert (Joyce) Gray of Janesville; Gerald (Ruth) Gray of Milton; a stepdaughter, Delores (James) VanGalder of Colorado; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Nathan (Adele) Brooks of Tyler, TX; 2 nephews, Dr. Edwin Brooks of Shoreham, Long Island, NY, and Rev. Delton Brooks of Michigan. Harriett was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sat., Sept. 3, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Sam Brink officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Schneider Funeral Home.
