Charles C. Gray, 60, R. 1, Milton Junction, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, following a brief illness.
The son of Fred and Jessie Fox Gray, he was born in Beloit May 12, 1907. The family moved to the Milton Junction area when he was a boy. He attended Rock River School. He was married to the former Gladys Hudson in Oregon, Ill., June 23, 1928. A farmer most of his life, he had been employed at Fischer Body in Janesville and the Highway Trailer Industries in Edgerton. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Milton Junction.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Ronald of Janesville, and Larry of McFarland; three daughters, Marilyn at home, Mrs. Raymond Lynd of Milton, and Mrs. Charles Wendelschafer of Milton Junction; 12 grandchildren; five brothers, Ellwood and Merton, both of Milton Junction, Marion, Clarence and Walter, all of Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Knight of Rockford, and Mrs. Robert Hesselman of Edgerton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm.m Friday, Oct. 27, in the Faith United Methodist Church, Milton Junction, the Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville.
Friends may call at the Albrecht Funeral Home tonight, Thursday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Gladys L. Gray, 75, of 42 Hilltop, Milton, was pronounced dead on arrival Dec. 30 at Mercy Hospital.
Born May 14, 1908, in Harmony Township, the former Gladys Hudson married Charles Gray on June 23, 1928, in Oregon, Ill. He died Oct. 24, 1967.
Mrs. Gray and her husband farmed. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, its women's group and Rainbow Circle, a past matron and Grand Representative of Kentucky of OES Chapter No. 46, Milton Women's Club, Literature Group, and past president of Service Star Legion.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald of Janesville and Larry of McFarland; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Lynd of Whitewater, Mrs. Charles Wendelschafer of Milton and Marilyn at home; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles Hudson of Edgerton, Wayland Hudson of Milton, Franklin of Pittsburgh, and Daniel Hudson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Josephine Bronson and Grace Robb, both of Milton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church with burial in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home in Dousman or Faith United Methodist Church. Albrecht Funeral Home-Milton was in charge of arrangements.
