Charles Byron Hull was born in Milton, Wis., Jan. 12, 1861, the son of Rev. Oliver Perry Hull and Emma Davis Hull, and died at his home in Chicago suddenly the morning of April 7, 1928. He was apparently in his usual good health.
The funeral was held from the home in Chicago, April 9, Rev. August Johansen officiating. Miss Ann Post sang two selections.
Mr. Hull was married to Margaret Davis in Chicago in 1884.
Besides Mrs. Hull, five children survive: Ernest, Santa Monica, Calif.; Lester, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Margaret (Mrs. Clifford Gessler) Honolulu, Hawaii; Nellie, who is in France and Phebe (Mrs. Ray Polan) Salem, W. Virginia.
Mr. Hull was a man of great ability, very friendly and well known. He was active in temperance work. He was a member of the S. D. B. church at Milton Junction at one time, later transferring his membership to Chicago.
Mr. Hull, with his brother Oliver, published a newspaper in Milton for a time. For the past forty years he has been engaged in the advertising business being associated with such agencies as W. D. Boyce, and Lord and Thomas. For some years he was western representative for McClure's Magazine and in more recent years for Outers and Recreation. At the time of his death he was western advertising manager for The National Sportsman, and Fishing and Hunting.
