BELLAIRE — Alice M. Willson, 92, of Central Lake Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
 She was born May 31, 1918, in Chestonia Township, the daughter of Harry and Celestia (Worden) Batterbee. On Sept. 19, 1936, she married Doyle Willson in Bellaire. They made their home on the family farm in Echo Township, moving to Central Lake Township in 1984. Doyle died in July 1996.
 Besides homemaking, Alice worked for several years as an aide at Meadow Brook. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting.
 She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, where she was organist for many years.
 Surviving are her children, Earl (Alfreda) Willson, of West Branch, Doyle (Esther) Willson Jr., of Greenville, S.C., Dean (Beverly) Willson, of Central Lake, and Sharon Parish and Lonnie Widner, of Gobles; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Bruce Gleesing; sisters and brothers, Elsa Tutwiler, of Maryland, Eunice Tobias, of Florida, Marvin (Betsy) Batterbee, of Mancelona, Mark (Betty) Batterbee, of Edwardsburg; nieces and nephews.
 Besides her husband, Doyle, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Clara Gleesing, and several siblings.
 Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth on Friday, Feb. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
 The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Batterbee and the Rev. Dave Scott officiating. Burial will be in Dunsmore Cemetery.
