COON, Basil C., of Chesaning, MI. Passed away Tuesday morning, January 26, 2010 at his home. Age 88. He was born January 1, 1922 in Brady Twp. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific He had managed grain elevators in Chesaning. Henderson and Alicia. He is survived by his wife Georgia (Allen). His children: Gary (Norane) Coon, Arizona Janet (Joe) Stopjik, Chesaning Wayne (Peggy) Coon, Flushing. Sheryl George (David Tims), Florida. 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Three brothers have passed away. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, Jan., 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesaning. Rev. Mark G Johnston will officiate with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning.
