Milton - Mrs. Myrtle E. McWilliam, 90, a long-time Milton resident, died Tuesday evening in Caravilla Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born Sept. 9, 1889, in Rock County, the former Myrtle Gray married Erv McWilliam on March 10, 1910, in Rockford, Ill. They farmed in Harmony Township for more than 50 years. He died Dec. 25, 1970. Mrs. McWilliam lived at Caravilla since then. She was a former member of the Milton Grange and a life-long member of the Milton Junction Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Clarence of Milton; four daughters, Mrs. Elmina Craw of Shopiere, Mrs. Jean Burtness of Orfordville, Mrs. Betty Harris of Euless, Texas, and Mrs. Joyce Stillman of Houston, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church with burial in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton. A memorial fund has been established.

John E. McWilliam, 83, Rte. 1, Milton, retired farmer, died Friday, Dec. 25 in Caravilla Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for the past year.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. from the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist Church, with Rev. Addison Appel officiating. Burial was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park with Larry and Norman McWilliam, Edward and Raymond Burtness, Dale Harris and James W. Craw, all grandsons, as pallbearers.
He was born in Iowa June 29, 1887, the son of D.P. and Josephine Davis McWilliam, and came to Milton as a youth. He was married to Myrtle Gray March 14, 1910, at Rockford, and the couple farmed for 55 years near Milton until retiring and moving to Milton five years ago.
Surviving are his wife, at Caravilla; four daughters, Mrs. James (Elmina) Craw, Beloit; Mrs. Vincent (Jean) Burtness, Orfordville, Mrs. Roy (Betty) Harris, Euless, Texas, and Mrs. George (Joyce) Stillman, Houston, Texas; a son, Clarence of Milton; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. B. H. Breitkreutz and Mrs. Ray Dunwell, both of Evansville, and Mrs. Maxwell Tifft of Lakewood, N.J.; and a brother, Arthur of Bend, Oregon.
One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
