EDGERTON- A heart attack proved fatal to Harold Babcock, 53, at 9 p.m. Wednesday at his farm home, one mile north of Albion. He was born Nov. 14, 1882, on the farm on which he spent his entire life.
Surviving are his widow, the former Vera Saunders; his mother Mrs. Martha Babcock, Albion; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Saunders, Albion, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the home at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Charles Thorngate officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Albion.

Mrs. Vera S. Babcock, 98, of 593 Albion, Edgerton, died Sunday in Edgerton Hospital.
The former Vera Saunders was born Nov. 8, 1887 in Albion. She married Harold H. Babcock on Oct. 5, 1911, in Edgerton. He died in 1936. Mrs. Babcock formerly was employed by a home for runaway girls in Milwaukee and by the Parker Pen Co., Janesville. She was a member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church and its Home Benefit Society.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Nora Saunders of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clare Saunders of Albion and Kathleen Genisot of Rhinelander.
Services will be a 1 p.m. Thursday in Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home, Edgerton.
