Wayne H. Bauer, 62, of Rockford, Ill., died of cancer, Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, at Rock Haven in Janesville.
He was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Janesville, the son of J. Harold and Ardis (Rice) Bauer. He graduated from Milton Union High School in 1953, attended Carroll College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1957 with a degree in economics. He was self-employed in carpentry.
He is survived by his children: John (Kelli) Bauer and Sarah (Bob) Jass, both of Milton, and Susan (Allan) Arndt of Janesville; his grandchildren; Cody and Abigail Bauer, Grace Jass, and Greta, HaHie [Hallie?] and Eliza Arndt; his mother, Ardis Bauer of Milton; two brothers, Warren (Mary) Bauer of Madison and Wayland (Anne) Bauer of Bettendorf, Iowa; and his significant other, Florence Zona of Rockford, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at Albrecht Funeral Home. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Rev. Herbert Saunders is officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service today at the Albrecht Funeral Home.
