Henry Lewis Ashley, son of John and Pharozine Garthwaite Ashley, was born at Rock River, Oct. 22, 1867. He died at the home of his nephew, Nelson Van Horn, at Milton, Oct. 27, 1937, aged 70 years and five days.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Hattie E. Van Horn of Milton; three nephews, Nelson Van Horn of Milton, Arthur and Wesley Van Horn of Janesville; one niece, Mrs. Wilmer Davis, of Janesville; numerous cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Milton Junction S. D. B. church, Rev. J. F. Randolph, officiating.
