  At West Edmeston, N. Y., Nov. 8th, 1873, Mrs. Polly Ordway, wife of Samuel Ordway, aged 71 years.   She endured her long, painful sickness with much patience, and gave evidence of trust and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.     J. B. C.

'The Sabbath Recorder', Vol 40, No 38, p 5, Sep. 18, 1884.
  In Chicago, Ill., Sept. 1, 1884, at the residence of his son Ira J. Ordway, Mr. Samuel Ordway, in the 84th year of his age.   His remains were brought for interment to Brookfield, N. Y., where he formerly resided and where his wife lies buried.   The funeral was held at West Edmeston where many of his old neighbors came together to pay him the last tribute of respect.   He was esteemed by them for his upright character.     J.
