At his residence in Watson [New York], on the 14th of August, of dropsy, BENJAMIN DAVIS, in the 82d year of his age. The subject of this notice, was born in Farmington, R.I., where he resided until his eighth year, when he removed with his parents to Petersburg, N.Y., from whence he moved to Brookfield, afterward to Verona and lastly to Watson, Lewis County, where he died, leaving to his friends and acquaintance an evidence of his hope of a blessed immortality. He left a widow (his third wife) to mourn his loss, together with 19 children, 36 grandchildren, and19 great-grandchildren.
