Owned land in both Westerly and Kingston. In late 1678 he married Hannah (Gaylord) Crandall, the widow of Elder John Cramdall (see pp. 1-3 in "Elder John Crandall of R.I. and his descendants by John C. Crandall. 1949. (Some lists ie. Clyde Uries notes and Carl and Alson Cottrell's Geneological List show Elizabeth (R in 14) as his wife) but the fact that Hannah was the wife of Elder John Crandall explains how he came to own the land in Kingston which had been orginally laid out to the Rev. John Crandall.
