Edmund Burke left his family in Toledo about the year 1916 or so and went to Chicago. It is not known if he ever secured a divorce from his wife Ida Dittmar Westcott. Once in Chicago, he was married a third time to Signe Carlson Landin, who was either a widow or a divorcee. She had two children, Theodore Landin and Ruth Landin Pielin, by her first husband. Edmund and Signe had two children.1199
