Anson proposed to Rebecca Aurelia just before they left N.Y. to travel to the area that is now Milton and surrounding areas. They have 2 children buried in a remote site near Goodrich Crossing over the Rock River. They had 7 other daughters

Started the SDB colony in Farina along with the Stillmans, Burdicks, Coons, Whitfords, etc. (all the regular names that pop up). Brother of Joseph Goodrich who started Milton House and Milton College in Milton, WI.

William Anson (family called him Anson), was credited with conducting runaways along the underground railroad thru part of Illinois to his brother Joseph's home in Milton, Wisconsin.
