In Christiana, Dane Co., Wis., Oct. 19th, Elizabeth Crumb, in the 55th year of her age. Sister Crumb embraced religion when she was eleven years old, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Christ in DeRuyter, where she has remained ever since, and by a long life won to herself the confidence and friendship of all that knew her. She had long been wasting away by disease, and felt that her "departure was at hand;" and feeling a strong desire to see her children in this section of the country before she died, she left the home of her childhood, saying that if she could but reach her children that were here, and stay with them one week, she would be satisfied. One week after she reached my house, she was consigned to the tomb. V. H.
