Leta C. De Groff, a former music teacher, died Tuesday in Highland Heath care Center, Wellsville, after a long illness. She was 93.
Born Leta Crandall in Little Genesee, she was a graduate of Bolivar Center School and Milton College, Milton, Wis.
She was a self-employed music teacher who gave private lessons in organ and piano in her home.
She was a member of First Seventh Day Baptist Church of Genesee, Little Genesee, where she also was organist for many years. She also had been a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Board of Christian Education.
Mrs. DeGroff had been a member of the Woodward Homemakers Club, Roena Ames Music Club, Little Genesee Garden Club, Western New York Genealogical Society and Erie County Cooperative Extension Service.
Her twin sister, Letha Polen, also died this year.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jerald of Alfred Station; a son, Stanley of Hamburg; a daughter, Faith Palmer of Alfred Station; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in First Seventh Day Baptist Church of Genesee, Route 417, Little Genesee. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee.
