"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 42, No 52, p 8, Dec. 30, 1886.
On Davis Creek, Valley Co., Neb., Dec. 10, 1886, of paralysis, Jane Davis, widow of Benjamin Davis, in the 76th year of her age. Sister Davis had been a Christian for many years, and her life seemed to ripen up like a beautiful field of wheat. The last earthly church with which she was connected was the Carleton (Minn.) Church, and we trust she has now found her name among the "washed in the blood of the Lamb," and where all trials and sorrows are forever at an end. G. J. C.
Notes for Benjamin (Spouse 1)
"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 31, No 18, p 3, Apr. 29, 1875.
In Alton, Waseca Co., Minn., April 12th, 1875, Benjamin Davis, aged 68 years, 10 months, and 14 days. His earlier years were spent in Brookfield, Madison Co., N. Y. He had lived in various places, coming from Illinois to Minnesota little less than fourteen years ago, which has since been his home. His neighbors bear testimony to his integrity of character, religiously and socially. Connected with the services of his funeral were like services for a little granddaughter, Lefa Estella Davis, who died last July, aged about 2 years and 9 months. M. E. B.
