OBITUARY:
Mrs. Hepsibeth Sharp was bron in Sparta, Genesee Co., N. Y., May 5, 1823, and died July 30, 1895, at Litchfield, Mich. Her family name was Crandall. Messrs. Phineas, William, and LaFayette Crandall, and Mrs. M. Warriner are her surviving brother and sister. These are all well and favorably known to the citizens of this place.
Mrs. Sharp was married to John S. Sharp, of Branch county, Feb. 10, 1841, and he died Apr. 4, 1878. Two sons, Phineas and Orlando, and three daughters, Ellen Orbit, Elizabeth Spayde, and Hepsibeth Mellwain, survive the parents.
Mrs. Sharp united with the Baptist church of Litchfield on Mar. 20, 1873, during the pastorate of Rev. M. H. Dewitt, and has left behind her the memory of a humble and consistent christian discipleship. Funeral was held on Thursday, p.m. at the Baptist churcTh, at which Rev. E. Tench and the Rev. Geo. Atchinson conducted the service.
