Mrs. Clark Kidder Sr., 94, R. 2 Edgerton, passed away at her home Wednesday at 6 a.m. She lived on the Kidder Century Farm for the past 79 years.
The former Elma Viola Fross was born in Dubuque, Iowa, Dec. 15, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fross, former Milton residents. She was united in marriage with Clark Kidder Sr. in Milton Junction in 1885.
Her husband preceded her in death on April 24, 1934, as did three children, Leta Oakley, William Kidder and Clark Kidder Jr., and three grandsons, Donald Kidder, Lyle Kidder and Wayne Oakley.
Survivors are two sons, Rex Kidder, R. 2, Edgerton, and Earl Kidder Sr., R. 1, Milton Junction; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 34 great-great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kidder will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Tanquist officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 at the Albrecht Funeral Home.

Clark D. Kidder, life-long resident of the town of Fulton, died suddenly Wednesday at 8 a.m. in his home on route 4, Edgerton. Mr. Kidder had had heart trouble for several years but was up and around the house Wednesday when he was stricken.
Clark, son of Joseph and Mary Jane Wood Kidder, was born Dec. 4, 1859, in the town of Fulton on what is now known as the Earl Kidder farm. He was married to Alma Fross on March 23rd, 1885, in Milton and they moved onto the farm which has since been their home.
He is survived by his wife and five children, Rex, Willie, Earl and Clark Jr., and Mrs. George Oakley who live on nearby farms; also 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his four sisters and one brother who died much earlier in their lives.
The name Kidder has long been associated with this section of the state. Clark's grandparents, Joseph and Jane Staples Kidder, having come from the east by ox team in 1844.
Mr. Kidder was a great sportsman and often entertained friends during the hunting, trapping and fishing seasons. He was rugged of character and generous, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27th, in the Gray and Albrecht funeral home, Milton Junction, with Rev. F. P. Hanaman officiating. Burial will be in Milton.
