"The Journal-Telephone", Milton Junction, Wisconsin, Thursday, Feb. 24, 1921, p 1.
Ezra A. Hamlin was born in Anson, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, Dec. 6, 1886, and died at Milton, Wis., Feb. 16, 1921, aged 34 years, 2 months and 10 days.
He was the only son of Henry J. and Emma Hamlin. After the death of his mother when he was 2 and one-half months old, he with his father and sister, Essie, lived with his father's brother, Frank, for a time.
He was converted and became a member of the S. D. A. church, by baptism, in November, 1910.
He was married to Cora Belle Maryott, Oct. 12, 1911. For two years they lived near Milton Junction, and it was during that time that their daughter, Elma, now 8 years old, was born. Later they moved to Chippewa County, near Cadott, Wis., where their three boys, Henry, John and Lester, 6, 4 and 1 1/2 years old, respectively, were born. About a year ago, they moved to Milton Junction, and last fall to Milton, where he died.
Mr. Hamlin was a true Christian, and although he had severe trials to meet during his short life, he was ever grateful to his Creator. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and won many friends wherever he went. He appreciated the many kindnesses shown him during his sickness.
Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his father and numerous other relatives.
The funeral services were held last Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house and 2:30 at the S. D. A. church, Elder Phil. C. Hayward officiating. Three favorite hymns, "Does Jesus Care?", "Some Day the Silver Cord Will Break" and "When I Shall Awake" were sung by a quartet.
He was laid to rest in the Milton Junction cemetery to await the Life-giver.
