Near North Loup, Neb., June 19, 1888, of pneumonia, Mr. E. G. Burdick, in the 37th year of his age. Bro. Burdick professed religion some sixteen or seventeen years ago, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist church at Milton, Wis. He afterward removed to Farina, Ill., and united with that church; thence he removed to Nortonville, Kan., and was a member there at the time of his death. He removed to this place early last spring, and from that time we have enjoyed our acquaintance and religious association with him and his family. His sickness was very severe and his decline rapid, yet death found him ready, having no trouble about it except on account of his family. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." G. J. C.
