Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Madelia Ayars of Panama City, Fla. She began to fail in health, Jan. 23 and was taken to a sanitarium at Lynn Haven on Saturday and on Tuesday, the 28th, passed away.
Madelia Allen was born in Milton, Wis., April 19, 1848, the daughter of Loander and Almira Babcock Allen. She grew up here and obtained her education in the local school and Milton College. She was married to Elias Ayars of New Jersey who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ayars is survived by one sister Mrs. W. J. Birmingham of Lansing, Mich. Her brother Asher D. Allen died Dec. 31, 1928.
The funeral was held in Panama City, and Mrs. Ayars was buried beside her husband in the Panama City cemetery.
