Mrs. Thelma Wright, 71, a life-long Milton area resident, died Thursday morning, Aug. 6, at University Hospitals, Madison.
Born Thelma Balch, Jan. 12, 1910, in the town of Milton, she spent her entire life in the area and had been employed as a clerk in several Milton stores. She married Edward Wright and he died in 1952.
She was a member of the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church, Royal Neighbors, Business and Professional Women, Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Hubert of Fort Atkinson; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Field of Milton; a brother, Edwin Balch of Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Kutz of Fort Atkinson, and Mrs. Harry Cole of Evansville; a stepsister, Mrs. Eugene Haskins of Bend, Ore.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Saturday at Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton, with burial in the Milton West Cemetery.
