In Hartsville, N. Y., July 8th, 1880, of heart disease, Edward Emerson, aged 65 years. He was a member of the Hartsville Seventh Day Baptist Church, and a man of industrious habits and good Christian character. He leaves a large family to mourn his loss. 'Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; for the end of that man is peace.' D. E. M.

  In Alfred Centre, N. Y., June 23, 1892, of cholera morbus, Martha F., wife of Martin E. Emerson, deceased, aged 62 years, 10 months and 7 days.
  Sister Emerson had been a great sufferer from asthma for many years, but death set the imprisoned spirit free.   At the age of 14 [24?] years she was baptized by Eld. N. V. Hull, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Hartsville, N. Y., with which church she remained a worthy member until her change came.   She was the daughter of David Satterlee, and granddaughter of Eld. William Satterlee.   She has left six children, two sisters, and other relatives.   Eld. L. C. Rogers assisted at the funeral.     J. K.
