Miss Lona Mae Crandall,of 1661 east Seventh Street,Portland, oreogn, and Dr Maynard C Duxbury,of Olympia Washington, were united in marriage at the home of the bride,August 22,at 2:00 p.m.,rev W Boyd Moore, pastor of the Canby Methodist Church and old time friend of the bride and former pastor of the family, officiating.
The young couople left on their honeymoon for a tour through Washington, in the mean time visiting many friends of the groom. In a few weeks they will return to Portland where they will reside.the wedding was enjoyed by the many friends of the bride and relatives of the groom. We congratulate them on their happy union.the presents were many and tokened of the high esteem in which they are held.

Andrew S. Duxbury reports that in the book of Crandall it lists Lona Mae as Lona Mary. I asked my mother, Lona Mae, about this one day and she said that because the State of Mainers pronounced Mary as MAE-RY she adopted Mae instead of using Mary.
