Edgerton – Frank Babcock, 74, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, after an illness of three years at his home in Indian Ford.
He was born Dec. 3, 1850, at Old Mystic, R. I., and came to Wisconsin with his parents in 1862 and settled on a farm near Albion and since that time he has always lived in the vicinity of Edgerton. Mr. Babcock was married to Josie Howard, Dec. 12, 1868 [15 Dec 1870]. He is survived by his wife and six children: Mrs. Maude Robinson, Indian Ford; Roy, Edgerton; Mrs. Myrtle Hensel, Levi and Herbert, Janesville; and George, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Methodist church with the Rev. R. J. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Fassett Cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Babcock, 82, 1520 Frederick street, who was seriously burned Friday morning when a two-burner kerosene stove she was lighting exploded, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, in Mercy Hospital.
Formerly Josephine Howard, she was born Dec. 3, 1853, in Beloit, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Howard and was married to Franklin Babcock, Dec. 12, 1870 at Edgerton. They lived near Edgerton for many years, Mr. Babcock dying Jan. 18, 1825, at Indian Ford. Ten years ago Mrs. Babcock moved to Janesville which has since been her home.
Survivors are four sons, Levi, George and Herbert Babcock, Janesville, and Roy, Indian Ford; two daughters, Mrs. John Robinson, Indian Ford, and Mrs. Albert Hensel, Janesville, route 7; 28 grandchildren. Two sons and one daughter have preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Methodist Episcopal church, Edgerton, the Rev. Guy Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Fassett cemetery, Edgerton.
