In Cazenovia, N. Y., Feb. 23d, 1872, suddenly, Mrs. Martha Burdick, wife of Henry C. Burdick, aged 72 years. Sister B. made a profession of religion some thirty years ago, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Lincklaen, of which she remained a worth member until death. Her last illness of twelve hours she bore with Christian fortitude, and triumphed in death, through faith in the blood of Jesus. Her remains were conveyed to Lincklaen, where a large circle of kindred and friends attended her funeral, when her remains were interred in the society burial place. "To die is gain." J. C.
