Mrs. Doris Saunders, 81, of 578 Edgerton Road, Albion, died Monday in Skaalen Nursing Home, Stoughton.
She was born Jan 17, 1902, in Albion, where she married Raymond Saunders on March 15, 1924. He died in 1964. Mrs. Saunders was a lifetime member of the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, a member of Albion Historical and Home Benefit societies.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane Algrim of Milton and Joan Roush of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Horace Bliven of Fort Atkinson; and a sister, Marian Onsgard of Windsor, Colo.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home, Edgerton.

Edgerton - Raymond E. Saunders, 68, Rte. 1, died Wednesday morning in Edgerton Hospital after a long illness.
The son of Harlan and Nellie Casler Saunders, he was born April 27, 1896, in Albion where he was a lifelong resident and farmed more than 40 years. He was married March 15, 1924, to the former Doris Bliven, in Albion. For many years he served on the Albion town board and the Albion State Graded school board. He was a World War I veteran and a member of Edgerton post of the American Legion more than 45 years.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Algrim, Milton Junction, and Mrs. Donald Roush, Rockford; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Babcock, Edgerton, Clara Saunders, New York City, and Mrs. A. L. Genisot, Rhinelander; three grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Rev. A. A. Apfel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Albion, with military rites. Friends may call at the Ellingson Funeral Home Friday evening and before noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church.
