Hollis V. Harbison
Funeral services for Hollis V. Harbison, 64, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Howard Wolfe officiating, with burial in Bethsadia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harbison went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 3 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born on June 17, 1942. Hollis was a “very special person,” well known and loved by many people in Good Hope where he resided and also all around Cullman. He was always cheerful and happy. Everyone who knew him or came in contact with him loved him. All of his family and friends feel very blessed to have known him. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Harbison.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Cruise Alaxander of Winter Haven, Fla.; a brother, Wallace (Linda) Harbison of Cullman; a sister, Dee (Gary) Carnes of Lake Whales, Fla.; seven special aunts, Lorraine Pickerill, Theolene (Winfield) Moon, Frances Harbison, Betty Harbison, Madge Davis, Fora Moore and Laura Griggs; two uncles, Melvin Harbison and John Hill Harbison; three nieces, Kim (Shane) Wolfe, Beth (Rusty) Daniels, Cren (Warren) Sullivan, and their families; two nephews, Jonathan (Amy) Harbison and Charlie (Julie) Carnes, and their families; and several cousins who loved him very much and will miss him.
Pallbearers will be Shane Wolfe, Bret Wolfe, Jonathan Harbison, Winfield Moon Sr., Buddy Shear, Alton Davis and Roger Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be James “Sonny” Brown and O.W. Tucker.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
