Mrs. Emma Bliven, 68, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at her home, 11 North Washington street, after an illness of the past year. Mrs. Bliven was born in North Adams, Mass., Jan. 16, 1857 and came to Wisconsin with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Goodell when she was one year old. Her parents located near Milton Junction. She was united in marriage in 1871 to Silas Bliven. To this union were born two sons. One son and her husband both of this city survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Whaley funeral parlors with the Rev. O. S. Long, United Brethren church officiating. Burial will be in Edgerton.

Silas H. Bliven, 84, of 11 North Washington street, who lived in Janesville for the past 25 years, died at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital.
He was born in Albion Jan. 16, 1851, and married Miss Emma Goodell, Albion, who died in 1925. He is survived by one son, Louis Bliven, Janesville, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Smith, Albion.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at a funeral home at 15 North Jackson street with the Rev. Herbert C. Kimmel, First Congregational church, to officiate. Burial will be in the Edgerton cemetery.
